Meet Olympian in Oshkosh

Meet Jinelle Zaug - Olympic Silver Medalist
Hi,
On April 10 I am hosting a hockey event in Oshkosh to raise money and awareness for breast cancer causes. I've attached our event poster and some articles that have recently run in the Oshkosh paper.
Our big draw for the event is that Jinelle Zaug is coming with her Olympic Silver Medal for autographs, photos, and to play in the game. If you could help by spreading the word, especially to the girls/women's hockey crowd we would very much appreciate it.

BLUE TEAM SKATES TO WIN OVER SLOWPOKES

The Blue Team played a strong game with hard skating and crisp passing and prevailed with a 9 - 6 victory over the Slowpokes. Todd Gordon had a shut-out going to about the mid-point of the game but Jeff Funke found the net and that got the Slowpokes started on a come-back bid. The Slowpokes went on a scoring run to pull within 1 goal but then the Blue Team finished strong to take the game. Dave Lacoursiere scored 2 goals & 1 assist to reach the 100 point mark for the season. Lance Czachor scored a 3 goal hat trick & 2 assists. Czachor surpassed the 50 goal mark for the season. Kevin Curtin scored 1 goal & 1 assist. Ben Mason 1 goal. Brian Pasterski 1 goal & 1 assist. Duey Campbell 1 goal & 1 assist.
Steve Fischer with 3 assists. Gregg Campbell with 2 assists.
Gordon stopped 24 of 30 shots to earn the win.

Blue Team Drops Another Close Game to Orange Team

The Orange Team had a talented quick young goaltender in Eland Jr. and they got timely goals to get the win over the Beermen. Steve Fischer got the Blue Team on the scoreboard with a goal assisted by Prunty & Pasterski. Cullen Prunty tied the game at 2-2 on a strong move to pull away from defenders to score. Dave Lacoursiere scored on a breakaway set up by Fischer & Curtin. Duey Campbell out-manuevered defenders with a great rush to move in and score late in the game on a great effort. It was not enough as the Orange Team sealed it with goals on a couple of hard shots that got past goalie Gordon. Todd Gordon stopped 28 of 34 shots in the game.
This was game # 4 in 3 days over Tournament weekend and both teams played a lot of hockey this weekend.
Red Team Takes Tournament Consilation Game on Last Minute Goal

In another "Barn-Burner" game that was similar to the tournament opener in being about as close a game as possible the Red Team edged the Blue Team with a last minute goal.
Ben Mason tied the game 1- 1 with a goal assisted by Jake Mangless. Lance Czachor later tied the game 2-2 on a goal assisted by Cullen Prunty.
The Red Team had taken the lead on a tough luck goal shot from behind the net which hit goalie Todd Gordon in the side of his goalie helmet and deflected into the net behind him. Both teams had good scoring opportunities but the Red Team had an offensive edge hitting the goal post twice during the game.
A Red Team forward made a strong rush up the left wing and fired a hard shot with about 40 seconds remaining in regulation time. The puck seemed to skid up Gordon's goal stick and behind him into the net for the game winning goal.
Gordon was recognized with the Labatt Blue Team Goalie award for his play in the tournament. Kevin Curtin earned the Blue Team Defense Award & Ben Mason earned the Forward Award.
Lance Czachor earned the Blue Team M V P Trophy for the tournament.
Blue Team Rebounds in Win Over Black Team

The Blue Team rebounded on the big ice rink with a solid 5 - 2 victory over the Black Team. Brian Pasterski started the scoring for the Beermen. David "Super Dave - Super Foot" Lacoursiere had a goal & 2 assists in the effort. Lance Czachor scored a 3 goal hat trick and had 2 assists. Cullen Prunty with 3 big assists and Kevin Curtin with an assist. The Beermen felt they scored one more on a puck that found the back of the net but the Ref claimed he missed it and the whistle had blown.
Todd Gordon was strong in net stopping 25 of 27 Black Team shots. A great effort all around by the Blue Team.
