The Durham Gators faced the Johnston Bruins in CYO action last night at Harmon Arena and held on for a 4-4 tie. The Gators controlled the game action all evening but could not hold on to a 3rd period lead. With Co-Captain and leading scorer Jordon S out of the line up due to a wrist injury the Gators called up Taylor C and Christopher W from the Durham Spartans Peewee team. Both boys contributed with an assist and helped preserve the tie.
The defense core of Trey H, Jacob C, Taylor C and Chris P held the Bruins at bay all evening limiting the shots on goaltender Matt J to a minimum.
The Gators face the tough Durham Lightning this Sunday.
Please see the boxscore for all game action.
Gators Welcome the Dynamite to the Swamp

In CYO Bantam action last night the Durham Gators showed what grit and determination can do handing the visiting Durham Dynamite a 7-5 loss. Goaltending for the Gators in the last two games has been outstanding with Dylan W recoriding his first win of the season. The forwards led by Mike L, Ryan O, Tim H and Jordon S have been scoring some pretty goals and the defence core has been limiting the shots on rebounds. The team is really starting to mesh together showing tons of improvement game in and game out.
Congratulations once again boys.
