WE WIN!! WE WIN!!! The Manvers Atoms win the Tri-county championship!!
The kids played another fantastic game against Kawartha White for the championship. We took the lead about half way through the first period and never looked back. It was another great team effort with everyone producing great hockey.
The offence was forechecking and rushing the net all night long, which produced the insurance goals in the third period.
The defence held the other teams chances to a few shots.
And not forgetting our goalie, he played another great game.
What a way to finish the year kids!! You kids have come a long way from the first 10 games of the season where we only won 2 games, allowing over 5 goals a game against us and scoring only 2 goals a game.
Check the stats for the playoffs, and the few games leading to the playoffs. It tells the story of what you kids have changed!! AWESOME JOB!! ENJOY THE TROPHY IN THE CASE NEXT SEASON
Third game of the playoffs saw a another solid effort. It just didn't see the outcome that the effort deserved. We were winning late into the third period and ended up with no nothing to show for the work. Still....another good effort
Second game of playoffs against saw us up against Kawartha White again. This time the game was much closer at the end of the third period. So close we went to a shoot out with 8 skaters shooting! Mike did a great job in goal for us stopping break away after break away.
Another decent game by our side. Lets hope this team keeps showing up for the rest of the playoffs.
KEEP IT UP!! BE PROUD OF THE EFFORT LAST NIGHT!

Over the last 10 games we are 4-5-1. 4 wins, 5 losses, 1 tie.
This is good. We have scored 20 goals, and have allowed 20 goals. This is awesome! Considering at the start of the year we were allowing over 5 goals a game and have it down to 2 goals a game, huge improvement!
Playoffs have started! And what a way to start the playoffs! With the best game of the year. All the kids were skating, passing, playing hard!!
We face Kawartha White again next week. Lets hope the same team shows up!
