Seventeen seconds into the game on what appeared to be a routine dump in the hometown Notre Dame Hawks were up 1-0. The rest of the first period proved uneventful for either squad. In the second period the Maroons would get on board by a mid slot blast from Brent Toews. The Hawks would respond with two goals, one on the powerplay, before Matt Dyck would score for the Maroons. Going into the 3rd period trailing 3-2 the Maroons picked up the pace but were not able to capitalize on some strong chances in the Hawks end. Instead it was the Hawks that pounced on a rebound from Maroons netminder Reggie Lagace to go up 4-2. Pulling Legace with just under two minutes left in regulation would result in plenty of close plays in the Hawks end eventually Brent Toews would score his second of the night but available time left on the clock was the enemy as the Maroons would drop the contest 4-3.
NOTES: A few injured players and a few unavailable bodies left the Maroons a touch on the short side for the road game, however it could be said that the game was either teams to win as it seemed to be a matter of bounces going one way or the other.
The Maroons hope to regroup before heading into Warren on Friday night.

The Maroons traveled to Oakville and left with a 7-3 victory over the hometown Seals. Keith Bially and Jon Froese each recorded Hat Tricks while Jesse Arbuckle scored a lone goal. The game was well paced with the Maroons winning the races to the puck and the battles in the corners. Although Seals netminder Justin Carloni played well there were plenty of scoring chances for the Maroons that weren't capitalized on. Marshall Cox was strong in net for the Maroons.
