Minutemen Prepare for the Halvorsen Playoffs

No. 6 Seed Mendham hockey has a chance to redeem itself on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 4:15 PM when it takes on No. 3 Seed Vernon in the first round of the Halvorsen. Mendham has been on a power outage of late with top scorer Jake Marszalek not in the lineup for the past five games and was also missing several other key players throughout the past two weeks; resulting in a four game losing streak.
A victory on Saturday could change the whole perspective of the season and the Minutemen are going to have to rely on Seniors Tanner Brown, Brian Crooker and Dustin Ferrone's leadership and heart to come out ahead. Goal scorers Ryan Bruin, Stefan Michura and Jake Marszalek will be leaned on to score often, while on defense Jordan Larrabee and Sean Mason will be looked on to neutralize the potent Vernon offense.

Mendham took on the Kinnelon Colts on Wednesday night in search of their first Halversen win, only to settle with a 5-5 tie. The contest was highlighted by Ryan Bruin's three goals, his second Hat Trick of the year, followed up by a Stefan Michura goal and Freshman Dillon Abend's first career scholastic goal.
Tanner Brown played his stellar self and turned away 48 shots.
