RAVENS FIRST 'non tigers' TEAM TO BEAT THE TIGERS

Posted by: Shaun Sterna on Sat May 15th 2010 1:16am

Well... not quite, Theyre the first team to beat either AND both of the tigers teams to leading the game and are the first to make the tigers have to come from behind to win.

The Ravens went down against both tigers teams by big margins but hope to keep the high intensity play happening for the weeks to follow.

Players are reminded to be at the rink 1 hour prior to game time.

They led from the start and kept it that way, Last sunday the Ravens defeated the blackhawks2 5 goals to 2.

This most recent win equals last seasons wins and after only 7 games with many more to come. The Ravens are also on more points than ever before attributed to the OT loss against the Blackhawks.

Sitting 5th on the ladder their poised to take on the Falcons this Sunday at 4:15pm and set out to win and retain as a minimum their 5th posituion on the Ladder!

Well done and Good luck guys!

In a good show of determination the Ravens ensured they put up a good fight against the Tigers1 team and although letting 4 goals through in the first period they managed to add more shots on goal than theyre previous bout with the alternative tigers team and only let 1 more goal per period though.

The Ravens have a lot they can take from this game and head into next sundays game against the BrokenWings with confidence they can carry their form of good passing and playmaking with them.

Justin Finlay-smith said "we expected that before the game that 8-0 would be a draw against them (tigers1) and a 6-0 feels as good as a win to us, now we have to concentrate on playing well against the other teams and add some points to the standings"

After the win against the redwings, the Ravens sit 5th on the ladder at least until two of the teams below them face off this thursday night.
